The aim of Bach flower treatment is to restore your balance and emotional harmony.
The Bach remedies work very gently by helping heal trauma, fear, phobias, anger, resentment, sadness or grief and can give you an insight into who you really are in times of stress and during times of other troubling emotions. They do not cause a healing crisis but instead slowly unpeel the emotional layers one at a time.
The remedies are safe for everyone including pregnant women and small babies. The people who use the Bach flower remedies with me report significant improvements in their emotional attitude and outlook, including increased confidence, clarity of thought, peacefulness, energy, inner balance, motivation and renewed zest for life. There are 38 Bach flower remedies.
These are categorised into seven different groups:
- fear;
- loneliness;
- uncertainty;
- lack of interest;
- despondency and despair;
- oversensitivity;
- too much concern for others. A specific combination of remedies will be chosen by me, depending on your emotional needs.
I also offer appropriate Bach Flowers to help children find balance and calm in cases where they are excessively demanding, controlling, irritable, moody, jealous, fearful, unmotivated, distracted, apprehensive, fearful, hyperactive etc.
My aim as a Bach practitioner is for both of us to identify the early signs of your emotional stress. This knowledge will bring a strong feeling of empowerment as you begin to confidently self prescribe and ‘nip in the bud’ any potential imbalance. The outcome will be a ‘healthier you.’
Your Bach Flower Consultation
An initial consultation usually lasts up to an hour, and follow-up consultations may be needed, which tend to be shorter.
You will be encouraged to talk about the issues and problems which you are currently facing in your life and we will discuss your deepest feelings, concerns and fears. This will determine the underlying cause any problem. A remedy bottle will then be prepared for you, selecting a combination of anything up to six Bach flower essences. This is usually topped up with mineral water and alcohol to preserve the contents. You will be advised how to take the remedy, which should last up to four weeks.
Testimonial
‘I first bought the full set of Bach remedies 30 odd years ago (for £32.00!) I started using homeopathy and the flower remedies successfully for my children. In the last 10 years, under direction of my homeopath Angela Young, I have learnt to use them frequently. I am always surprised how well they work, and how they complement homeopathic remedies, they seem to work in an adjacent space and frequency in a very neat way. I would encourage anyone who is interested, to find out more about them’. P.W.P Shaftesbury
‘My wife and I have known (and have been treated by) Angela for 14 years. We have both found her sympathetic and sincere in handling our problems. In the past 18 months while my wife was ill I had virtually given up the will to live. Thankfully I phoned Angela, we had long chats, and she never gave up on me and advised me on the remedies to take. Anyone who asks for help can’t go to anyone better’. Colin D. West Wales. |

“We are set free if we set others free, for it is only by example we can teach" - Dr Edward Bach, 1932.
History of the Bach Flower Remedies
Dr Edward Bach (1886 – 1936) was a respected British Harley Street physician and Homœopath who noticed that every patient that came into his practice had an underlying emotional imbalance no matter what their physical complaint.
Dr. Bach philosophy became "A healthy mind ensures a healthy body". Dr Bach decided to devote his life to developing a system of healing for emotional pain. In the 1920’s while specialising in pathology and bacteriology, Dr. Bach investigated the healing properties of plants, trees, water and other natural resources around Mount Vernon, his home in Oxfordshire. Mount Vernon is still the headquarters of the Bach Foundation.
Dr. Bach developed his 38 Flower Remedies to cover all the basic underlying causes of emotional distress. Dr Bach's simple system was designed for the person to heal themselves.
Dr. Bach was ahead of its time when one considers that today more and more medical experts are acknowledging the links between our mental and physical health. |
